My Time

Please tell me I am not the only one out there who always wonders if she has shaved both armpits after turning off the shower... I think maybe I will make this 'Philosophical Ponderings' a reoccurring thing.  We will see though, I hate committing. I like the idea of it though. (For all you personality typers out there, these three sentences should be very insightful to you.) Recently, I've been working around 55 hours a week.  I don't say this to make you feel sorry for me (but if you do that's fine too, just kidding).  But in this, I've thought 'I don't have any time to myself', which isn't true.  (I think I read something else that sparked this too.)  Anyways, then I started thinking my time isn't really my own to begin with.  Who cares if I'm at work or home or anywhere really. It's all time GIVEN to me to in return give and pour into others.  Right now, I'm able to be around and give to others not when I have "my time...

Philosophical Ponderings

What is beauty? Before I jump right into the middle of this ocean, I'd like to preface this with a couple things.  Firstly, that I wrote most of this quite a few months ago and for whatever reason have not posted it until now.  And also, these are more akin to personal thoughts and observations than to straight hard facts. Now, I'm not a philosopher, expert, or even remotely educated in dealing with or answering this question, but lately I've been pondering it.  What is beauty and what does it mean to say God is beautiful? From what I have briefly read, there are two "types" of beauty.  That is to say, there is an absolute beauty.  As well as, preference through senses of what is beautiful to an individual.  None (or mostly no one) would argue the beauty of a waterfall, sunrise, language, music, laughter, etc.  But what is specifically pleasing to one (take some artwork for example) may not be to another.
