The Next Bachelor Should Be Me!
So, when you think of a single man, a bachelor, living alone or perhaps with a roommate or two, you usually think of a somewhat unkempt house or apartment with pizza and beer in the fridge, no feminine touches like nice curtains or designed kitchen towels or any things of that sort. Yes, I am being very stereotypical and guess what...I'm a stereotypical bachelor. My staples are frozen pizzas and bacon if I'm up for cooking it (maybe eggs too), I drink unashamedly out of the milk carton, my bed's rarely made, I hardly use plates just bowls, and if I could afford it they would all be paper. I'm not sure why it's always portrayed that men are this way, unless I'm an anomaly but I think I'd be thinking too highly of myself if I thought that to be true. Maybe I'm the only one that finds this humorous and ironic but that's OK!
On Instagram I recently added all these celebrities to those I 'follow'. Stand up characters like Katy Perry, Anna Kendrick, Taylor Swift. I like to pretend we're all friends!
The other night I walked into a coffee shop to grab myself a cup of Joe (as if I didn't have enough already that day from work) and was offered free coffee on one condition, I had to stare in a stranger's eye (not eyes, just the one) for two minutes. Two minutes without laughing, talking, or looking away. So, naturally I agreed to this social experiment. Now, two minutes is a long time when you must just stare at someone. (Just ask Hannah or Ethan.) As it was happening, it occurred to me just how strange this was, too. I never said more than my name to this person and I'm just staring right at his eyeball. They say the eyes are a window to the soul but, literally, all I saw was his eye in all its white, blue, and black. It was very comical and I nearly laughed from the thought a time or two. But in the end, I just stared and got free coffee from it all!
I have a few goals this summer. They are all extremely deep and will definitely improve my life in the most important ways.
1. I've got to work on my tan. I think I have a good base tan going but I need to really build on this!
2. I'm praying Katy Perry releases a new album. That's really my goal for her, though.
3. Oh, I need need need to acquire a taste for sushi! All the cool, cultured kids eat it!
4. Every weekend, at least once, I must float in my parents' pool with a tasty beverage!
5. My sister and I have really got to have as many sleepovers as possible!
6. I NEED marionberry pie in my life everyday!
Yup, I think that about covers it!
Just remember to stay cool and keep hydrated kids!
